The site for this resort is located North east of Beijing, just beyond the 'Great Wall' and in an agricultural area known for the production of wine.
The resort comprises of 50 individual free-standing 'club houses' set at the edge of the new vineyard, each fully equipped to act as small but exquisite guest house.
Beyond these sits the central structure, designed with curving thick stone walls to reflect the local custom and the agricultural setting.
This central building contains a working winery and wine storage facility (including tasting rooms of various styles), an art gallery, two restaurants including external terraces and private dining rooms, extensive banqueting facilities for events and festivities, along with a residential wing housing 40 individual bedroom.
The design of the complex is contemporary in scale and form yet seeks to incorporate natural local materials to merge the new works into the existing surroundings.
The design brings five star luxury and style to the local resort market, as well as providing a focus on the increasing popularity of wine in China.
