Denton Corker Marshall

Denton Corker Marshall worked in association with Studio Starck to create the UK’s first boutique style hotel for New York hotel developer Ian Schrager. 150 loft-style guestrooms were designed in the converted Grade II listed building, originally built as the company headquarters for Sanderson Wallpaper and Fabric Company.

The hotel includes two unique bars, an exclusive French restaurant and an extensive urban spa. The Long Bar is the centerpiece of the ground floor and the sculptural focus of the hotel, designed to appear as a solid block of backlit onyx. The reception/lobby area contains an eclectic selection of furniture and artwork. The Agua Spa is enveloped in double height sheer curtains, enhancing the dreamscape sense within the space and creating an atmosphere of sophistication and luxury.
