This project involved the complete redevelopment of an existing hotel site to provide 124 new guestrooms and 57 apartments clustered around the entirely refurbished and extended central facility building which incorporates a spa in addition to reception facilities.
The steeply sloping site provides exciting views across the bay for all units with a signature restaurant, pool, and pool bar located at the lower level adjacent to the marina moorings.
The buildings are designed to fit into the naturally verdant location, with timber shingle roofs and exposed timber structural balconies. The rooms are designed to facilitate natural ventilation and focus on the link to their natural surroundings.
