Denton Corker Marshall acted as lead design consultant and executive architect, providing all architectural services, including design co-ordination and documentation, for the new Heston Blumenthal signature restaurant, Dinner, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge. Interior design services were carried out by Tihany Design and the 120 cover restaurant included an extensive show kitchen with an open fire and a feature rotisserie.
Each phase of the project had to be carefully developed alongside the prioritised needs of the hotel and the impact on its operations. As an internationally recognised global brand, Mandarin Oriental Hotel has to maintain an extremely high guest experience with consistently updated facilities and accommodation. With this project, Denton Corker Marshall worked closely and directly with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to understand the operational needs and the long-term aspirations of the Hotel.
