DCM were one of the five finalists invited to develop concept proposals for the new Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence in Poland. Our designs¬ expressed the Embassy and the Residence as two distinct buildings which were of a different scale while of a coherent architectural expression. The buildings were developed as two pure ‘cubic’ forms, abstract objects resting on, and cantilevered from, a single storey masonry base. They were to sit as pavilions in a garden alluding to the memory of the existing Residence building previously located on the site.
