Denton Corker Marshall was appointed to design the new headquarters building for Bank Slaski, an important Polish regional bank, located in the city of Katowice. The project is located in a prominent area of the city centre.
To integrate the building into the urban fabric a variety of tactics were employed. By far the most significant of these is the introduction of the atrium, the main circulation artery and heart of the development, acting as a public street with places for rest and relaxation in restaurant or café, and into which the bank’s offices open through a sequence of colourfully accented balconies, bridges and visual links.
This modern building combines a high level of flexible functionality, state of the art technology and a user friendly interior.
